The M420B-1/2 is a modulating gas valve ideally for indirect fired atmospheric burners using Maxitrol Selectra Series 94 Modulation System or SC10 Signal Conditioners. The main functionality of the valve is to control gas flow which an increase in voltage corresponds to an increase in outlet pressure.
The valve has an inlet/outlet size of 1/2" with an NPT connection that is fitted for low-fire adjustment. The minimum outlet pressure is 0.2" w.c and 7.0" w.c. (17 mbar) as the maximum outlet pressure rate. The flow rate of the valve is adjusted through the bypass.
Operating ambient temperature limits range from - 40° to 125°F (-40° to 50°C) and - 50° to 185°F (-45° to 85°C) for non-operating. Applicable gas mediums are natural, mixed, manufactured, liquefied petroleum, and liquefied petroleum gas-air mixture.
The modulating valve shall be installed in an upright position in a horizontal run of pipe and downstream of all other controls (except the high pressure cut-off switch). Also, an upstream pressure regulator is required.
The A1094 and AD1094 Amplifiers are used to drive the M420B-1/2 gas valve. The amplifier supplies output voltage to the M valve.
